Will I need a Passport?
Yes. You will need a valid passport.
What about a Visa?
With any on ward or Round-Trip tickets, you will receive a 30 day tourist visa upon arrival in Bangkok.
What kind of clothes should I bring?
Do not over pack. Dress casually in light cotton pants such as Dockers, khakis, or light weight jeans. Also bring cotton shorts, tee shirts, golf shirts and bring at least one short-sleeve dress shirt. Don't forget your bathing suit. There is daily laundry service at the hotel (in by 10 a.m., returned by 5 p.m.) Consider having clothes custom made for a fraction of the cost of store bought clothes in the USA.
Should I pack cosmetics and toiletries?
Bangkok is a very cosmopolitan city. Anything you can buy in the USA, you can purchase in Thailand. You may not always find your favorite brand name. If that is important to you, pack those items. Remember you may have to carry your own bags at times, so pack light.
What about cameras and film?
Definitely bring your cameras and camcorders. Bring extra batteries, if you need to charge your batteries you will need a voltage converter. Thai voltage is 220v. There are one-hour film developing stores and most use Kodak paper. Kodak and Fuji film are available.
What kind of shopping can I expect?
Bangkok is full of bargains that you should not miss. Consider custom-made clothing (suits, pants, shirts, shoes, and boots.) You can have clothes made in as little as 12 hours. Thai jewelry is usually 22k & 24k gold, 14k & 18k are available. Traditional Thai handicraft items of all sorts are available at bargain prices. Bartering is expected, so have a good time.
Am I allowed to bring prescription drugs?
Yes. Bring any prescription medication you may need. It is possible to purchase prescription and non-prescription drugs over the counter. Medical insurance is not accepted in Thailand. Keep all receipts to make any claim on your insurance when you return to the USA.
Will I have trouble with food?
No. Eating Thai food should be one of the highlights of your tour. Bottled water, sodas (Coke, Pepsi) are available, as well as other brand names. Most restaurants have high standards, and most meals can be cooked to order. Have fun!
What if I have to cancel?
All airline tickets are non-refundable (airline policy). Global Golf Tours.Com, inc. will charge a $100.00 dollar cancellation fee for any part of the Land Tour package prior to departure. NO refunds will be allowed once the tour has started.
What if I miss my flight?
YOU MUST contact the airline yourself. Make what ever arrangement you need with the airline. Then contact Global Golf Tours.Com. inc. and tell our tour consultant what your changes are. If you cancel your tour, you will NOT be entitled to a refund. If you arrive in Bangkok at a later date, you will be met at the airport by a tour guide. Your itinerary will be changed to meet the schedule of the ongoing tour.
